Depth First

I’m David, a software engineer based in Zürich. I’ve worked at computer vision startups, spent time as a Senior Software Engineer at Meta Reality Labs, and am now a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead at a computer vision and ML startup.

This blog covers things I’ve gone deep on: computer vision, machine learning, systems programming, and the developer tooling that makes all of it less painful.

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my wife and daughter, get out on a bike, snowboard, or skis whenever I can, and recently picked up sailing. I’m also endlessly fascinated by computer vision, machine learning, and robotics, to the point where it’s hard to tell where the job ends and the hobby begins (for better or worse).
